3 Day Tour
Some might prefer to book a 3 day/2 night tour, the middle day of which will usually be spent exploring the Italian side of the Col du Grand St Bernard on snowshoes. In good conditions, strong groups may crest the ridgeline that forms the western continuation of the Italian-Swiss border, affording splendid views of the south side of the Mt Blanc massif.
Options: Alternative pickup and drop off locations, such as Chamonix (France) or Martigny (Switzerland) may be possible by prior arrangement. In the event of bad weather, or tired legs, a short visit to the excellent St Bernard museum and dog kennels dedicated to this famous breed may be possible in Martigny (entrance fee).
